Therapy.

Reconnecting the individual, couple and loved ones.

Psychotherapy is mental health therapy and counseling.

The journey in therapy can unearth underlying needs in a safe place with me as your vested partner on your path to stronger health and self-attunement.

We devote our sessions on your lived experience whether you are an immigrant or a child of immigrants, from a BIPOC culture, from a dominant culture, or from the LGBTQ+ community to help you understand that sometimes your self-limiting behavior is being driven by thoughts, feelings and beliefs about which you are unaware.

We explore your interactions within the various social systems in which you are embedded. The more you understand the social and practical realities of your life, the greater you are able to manage conflict in your relationships, break harmful patterns and create your change process.

Therapy Modalities

I work with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and wellness needs that span from therapy for anxiety and depression, trauma, immigrant experience, parenting support, couples and relationship counseling, and beyond. Attention is placed on concrete changes you want to make in your life, including actualizing your potential, promoting your growth, overcoming inhibitions, and resolving symptoms.

I work with persons of all sexual orientation, gender, racial, ethnic, and cultural identities, including those from the Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Black, Indigenous, People of Color communities and LGBTQ+.

I offer individual therapy for adults only.

Therapy for couples and those in a co-parenting relationship.

Relationship therapy for those wanting to build emotional closeness with their loved ones.

My combined training as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and as a Rehabilitation Counselor allows me to address your needs in the context of your situation and conditions from a multicultural lens and be trauma-responsive.

Self-Esteem

  • Therapy Style.

In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach to each of my client’s needs to help attain their ideal personal growth.

My therapy style integrates dialogue and activities that facilitate awareness, healing, and change. Our sessions are tailored for you and my interventions may evolve based on the focus of the narrative you choose to share with me.

  • Theoretical Orientation.

I gravitate toward Attachment, Cognitive-Behavioral, Strategic, Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Multicultural, and Interpersonal theories of therapy, although I take an eclectic stance when applying interventions in my practice.

I also incorporate the concepts and tools of the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy in my work with couples and those in relationship therapy.

  • Only in California.

My California MFT license allows me to practice only in the state of California, meaning I can only provide therapy to those who are physically located in the state.

If you are outside of California, you can search for a therapist in your state using Zencare or Psychology Today.

  • Weekly Sessions.

I work with my clients exclusively on a weekly basis on the same day and time of the week.

By meeting weekly, we have the opportunity to build momentum, fully explore your story, and work more steadily toward your therapy goals.

Rescheduling and cancellations are accepted without fee penalty with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • Investment & Payment.

All sessions are 50-minutes in duration.

    Individual Therapy: $200

    Couples/Co-Parenting Therapy: $250

Relationship Therapy (for families, friends, non-couples/-parents): $400

Payments are due by our session day and are made via Zelle payment system through your bank.

I do not accept insurance. I provide you with a ‘superbill’ which you can submit for reimbursement to your health insurance or health savings account provider.

  • Hours.

Therapy sessions are available Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm PST.

    I observe major national holidays.

Availability of appointment slots vary. We can discuss schedule preferences during our initial conversation.

How we meet.

  • I am exclusively providing video sessions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in my commitment to support your health, safety, and wellness.

In-person therapy sessions are no longer available.

  • Research indicates that telemental health therapy, or more commonly known as virtual or online therapy, is effective and as effective as in-person sessions.

I do offer the option to conduct our sessions over the phone instead of video to accommodate needs and unique circumstances.

  • I use a HIPAA-compliant and secure platform for video sessions. All paperwork and sharing of documents will be provided via this platform.

Just like in-person sessions, all sessions and communication between us over phone or video are confidential and private.
