Investment for individuals begin at $200 per hour.

Investment for agencies and organizations begin at $400 per hour.

I’m unable to do unpaid events and I ask that you please respect my time, fees, and expertise when you reach out to connect.

  • What payments do you accept?

Payments for therapy are due by our session day and are made via Zelle payment system through your bank.

Payments for consulting services, trainings, workshops and other speaking engagements can be made via Zelle, check or ACH direct deposit.

  • Do you take insurance?

My first priority as a therapist is to maintain clients' confidentiality, and in light of this goal, I have decided to avoid sharing sensitive information with insurance companies. Additionally, some insurance companies tend to limit, rush, or otherwise negatively influence the organic process of therapy and the quality of the trusting relationship I aim to build with my clients. Therefore, I do not accept insurance.

If you have a PPO insurance plan or a Health Savings Account that provides coverage for out-of-network providers, I provide a ‘superbill’ document (which is an insurance-specific receipt) which you can use to submit a request for reimbursement from your insurance for a portion of your therapy expenses. Check with your plan directly to find out what is covered.

  • When do you schedule therapy or supervision appointments?

50-minute therapy and supervision sessions are typically scheduled Tuesday-Thursday between 9am-5pm.

I meet with clients and supervisees on a weekly basis, on the same day and time for ease of scheduling and to support the therapy flow.

Too long of a gap between sessions is disruptive and can hinder your progress towards your goals.

  • What's your cancellation policy for appointments?

    I understand that plans change.

I require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule appointments for therapy, clinical supervision and consulting appointments.

You will be responsible for the full session fee if you give notice less than 24 hours’ notice.

We will need to discuss ongoing or frequent cancellations as they become barriers to your progress towards your goals and disruptive to the overall therapy flow. Understanding the reasons for these cancellations and their impact on you and our relationship can shed light on ambivalence to therapy and the appropriateness of therapy in your life.

  • When do you schedule speaking engagements?

Speaking engagements, trainings and workshops are typically scheduled based on specific needs. The length of time and topic will be determined by your group’s needs, and we can cover the details during our initial consultation.

  • What's your cancellation policy for speaking engagements?

I require at least 14 days notice to cancel or reschedule speaking engagements, trainings and workshops. This allows time for us to reschedule or visit alternative ideas.

  • Do you prescribe medication?

I’m not a doctor/physician, I do not have a medical degree, and I do not prescribe medication.

I do have a working knowledge of medication for mental health conditions and can dialogue with clients about their interest or need for medication management with a medical doctor or a psychiatric nurse practitioner to facilitate symptom alleviation and management of their condition.

I respect that it is up to the individual to decide on whether they would want to incorporate medication into their mental health treatment.

  • How effective is online therapy?

Research indicates that telemental health therapy, or more commonly known as virtual or online therapy, is effective and as effective as in-person sessions.

I do offer the option to conduct our sessions over the phone instead of video to accommodate needs and unique circumstances.

Booking & Contacting.

I’m new to therapy. What can I do if I’m unsure, if I’m anxious about starting, or if I don’t know what type of therapy I want?

It’s common to be uncertain, especially if you come from an upbringing or community that doesn’t rely on or believe in mental health and support services. Your hesitation is understandable. Let’s talk anyway and we can decide if I’m a good fit for you or you can be better served by someone else, or if this isn’t a good time for therapy at all. Perhaps an alternate option is more useful for your current needs.
